Another wonderful day at ISR 12.  All our divers had to pass a basic skills inspection.  Once that was done, we were able to put the submarine in the water for a safety inspection.  All the emergency systems were put through their paces.  Our light batteries failed once we were under water, but we had lots of fresh batteries and 2 backup lights.  The pilot emergency exit worked, too.  Our buoy didn't deploy on command, but did deploy about a minute later.  So, Il Calamaro came out of the water for a little rework.

Mrs. G and crew did a SUPER job of providing a delicious lunch.  The ground crew were on the ball, helping to get the sub in and out of the water.

Then it was time for our oral presentation.  We were caught a little offguard as we  understood our time slot was later in the day, but not too worry: our team was ready!  Sarah had driven up that morning with props.  Mrs. G had spruced up the PowerPoint slides, all the students had rehearsed their speeches.  Well done, Team Calamaro!

Once the oral presentation was over, we were told a severe storm was about to hit the area.  It was time to pack up!  Mrs. S and Mrs. G got organization underway, and the RV bays were soon loaded up with all the loose gear.  It was time to head home for the day.
